Description

This is a twin-cylinder rear-exhaust engine with a displacement of 40 cc. The design and mounting method are different from other 40cc engines on the market. The engine body is light and compact, with the perfect size to deliver an excellent flying experience. It uses a Walbro carburetor and NSK bearings to provide better performance and stability.

The X series opposite twin cylinder engine runs smoothly over the entire engine speed range. The opposed crankshaft and piston eliminate most of the unwanted vibration during operation. The lightweight design allows the engine to have a superior thrust-to-weight ratio compared to other engines of the same displacement, making it very suitable for small-scale RC aircraft and UAVs.

Tech note: The prop bolt pattern on this engine is the same as most 55-70cc engines. Most pre-drilled props in the 19″ – 20″ are drilled for the smaller 30cc-40cc pattern. It is suggested that users purchase undrilled props and drill them to the 55cc-70cc pattern.

• • Genuine Fuel Systems: Unlike many competitors that use replica carburetors, Ephil Engines uses authentic Walbro carburetors across their product line to prevent finicky tuning and ensure linear throttle response.
  • Onboard Auto-Starters: Ephil was one of the first brands to make highly integrated electric starters popular. Starters can be bought pre-installed. They use a heavy-duty brushed motor paired with a one-way bearing to safely start the engine from your transmitter switch.
