Description

The Hobbywing line of speed controls offers the latest in technology, giving them an edge in reliability and performance for any aircraft application.

A superior double-sided perforated heat dissipation structure solves the heat dissipation problem of “sandwich” stacked circuits; the side “window” design allows air to pass through the ESC’s interior, quickly removing heat generated by the circuit board of double-sided layout components, resulting in better heat dissipation both inside and outside the ESC; the capacitor-assisted heat dissipation structure extends the heatsink to the capacitor section and is fixed to the capacitor with thermally conductive adhesive, providing additional heat dissipation for external capacitors; the excellent heat dissipation fin airflow design allows the strong airflow generated by the cooling fan to flow through the entire ESC heat dissipation structure, enhancing the heat dissipation effect and making the ESC operate more cool and stable.

In actual assembly of straight-type machines, users often find it inconvenient to install the ESCs due to their large size, causing them to hit the machine head cover (canopy). The newly designed Platinum 150A V5.1 optimizes the size of the ESCs, completely solving the problem of difficult assembly caused by the large size of the ESCs. The Platinum 150A V5.1 can still achieve a continuous current rating of 150A/instantaneous rating of 180A, even with such an extreme size.

With a built-in programmable switch-mode BEC, the output voltage is continuously adjustable between 5-12V in 0.1V steps, with a continuous output current of over 10A and an instantaneous output current boost to 30A, providing ample power to the servo motor and ensuring precise execution of every flight maneuver.

It has multiple protection functions, including start-up protection, current protection, temperature protection, capacitor temperature
protection, overload protection, throttle signal loss protection, and input voltage abnormality protection, which effectively extend the service life of the ESC. It has four modes: “brake off, normal braking, proportional braking, and reverse braking”. In normal braking mode, the braking force is adjustable. In proportional braking mode, the braking force is automatically distributed according to the position of the throttle joystick. In reverse braking mode, the motor can be rotated forward and backward through other channels of the remote control system.

-Constant Speed Performance Upgrade, Ultimate Flight Experience; The 32-bit processor combined with the RPM accuracy algorithm makes the ESC more powerful and consistent, maximizing RPM accuracy to enhance overall performance. Compared with the previous ESC, the RPM accuracy algorithm significantly improves power and consistency. The adjustable constant speed sensitivity allows every pilot to easily find a setting that suits their flying style.
