Robart Repair Service

Description

Bring back to life those Robart electric retracts with our Robart repair service. Whether it is stripped gears or a burnt-out motor in the drive, the Fan Jets USA Crew can repair it. By purchasing the service you will receive the following services.  Send only the drive to Fan Jets USA for repair.  The operational voltage of the replacement drive motor will be the same as the original factory part.

Damaged control box?  The JP Hobby electric control boxes will work with the Robart electric retracts.  There is a small modification needed to the Robart plug that goes into the control box.  The lock tab will need to be cut off so that the black 2-pin connector will fit into the JP Hobby control box.

Services Included:

• Inspection of the drive motor and diagnosis to determine the failure of operation.
• Replacement of the gearbox inside the drive motor casing. (If necessary)
• Replacement of the drive motor.  Includes soldering the original wire connector to the new motor. (If necessary)
• Replacement of both the gearbox and motor if required.
• The drive motor will be tested multiple times in both directions to ensure smooth operation.

Repair Service Process:

1. Purchase the repair service through the website. When purchasing the service select the quantity of motors needing repair.  If 2 drive motors need repair a quantity of 2 will be entered for checkout.
2. Remove the drive motor from the retract unit and mail it to Fan Jets USA for repair service to the following:
   1. Fan Jets USA, Re: Robart Repair, 50698 Glen Meadow Ln, Granger IN 46530.  Be sure to include your order number and contact information.  The customer is responsible for shipping and Fan Jets USA is not responsible for lost packages.

The general lead time for repair is two business days upon receiving the package.  Once the repair is complete the order will then be processed and shipped out. The customer will be provided with notification of the repair being completed with tracking number information. Please ship out the drive motors for repair within a couple of days of placing the repair order.

Disclaimer: The replacement drive motors that are being used in the repair may operate at a different rpm compared to the original motor.  The operational voltage range will be the same as the original motors.
