Fan Jets USA 80mm Intake Ring

Fan Jets USA offers this intake ring to provide an efficient way to streamline the airflow into the fan unit.  This inlet lip is needed when the edf unit is in the open air to help streamline the airflow into the edf unit.  A reduction of 20% of thrust can be expected if an intake lip is not used.  If the edf unit is in a closed air intake system, the ring is unnecessary.

This intake lip offers a wide inlet to take up space in a fuselage to help close the airflow through the fuse.
