Schubeler DS-68-AXI HDS 110mm

The new fan of the AXI class is based on the Schubeler HDS technology. This technique is characterized by an ingenious mix of materials, which leads to excellent technical features combined with an affordable price.

Schubeler has put a lot of effort and full turbo machinery expertise into the development process of the HDS fans. On the basis of their CFD optimization, the blades of the new fans are highly efficient, broadband, and quiet. In addition, they were designed mechanically very strong, and very rigid through FEA calculations. The times of rubbing and twisting rotor blades are gone with the DS-30-AXI, DS-51-AXI HDS, and DS-86-AXI HDS series of edf units.

The 68HDS® also relies on the classical HDS® features but even adds that extra bit:

• Blades made from a high-temperature resistant fiber-reinforced polymer

• Material Mix of CFRP, aluminum, and injection molding

Individual Setup:

The latest version of our HDS® fans completes the series with a 110mm fan which also works ideally with Tenshock, HET, and TP motors. The HDS® series is characterized by the fact that motors are freely selectable according to the customer’s preferences while keeping up the highest efficiency levels as a result of our integrated development approach. This has the advantage that you can also order a stand-alone fan in order to combine it with your existing motor. Due to our experience as well as the possibility for fine-balancing a smoothly running system is achieved.

Proven Efficiency:

The fans have been combined with the above-mentioned motors forming setups that have been tested extensively until product launch. As usual, at Schübeler Composite, simulations and tests were effected preceding the construction phase which corresponds to our policy of providing the highest quality and efficiency levels. Here efficiency means especially transferring low electrical power into high thrust and jet velocity. The implementation of  Tenshock, HET, and TP motors is only possible due to the optimum balance of rotational speed and torque.

Established Cooling:

Our calculations and development work result in a product reaching the perfect utilization of the above-mentioned motors. That is why we are able to reach extremely cool running propulsion setups: the motors are not forced into a low rotational speed which is why they do not overheat. Residual heat is lead away by means of the established HDS® typical cooling.
