Jet-Teng Models (JTM) are small-scale, sport RC planes that are meticulously crafted to the customer’s liking.  There are dozens of available schemes and custom colors available upon request.  The workmanship on these models is impeccable, with great attention devoted to every detail, from the airframe construction to the paint to all of the finishing processes.

All fuselages are 100% composite with solid construction that is light and durable and designed to withstand the stresses of high-speed, aerobatic flight.

Jet-Teng Models originated as a ducted fan platform and were re-engineered to accommodate Jet Turbines for propulsion.  We offer both models, a Turbine or a ducted fan.

Turbine Setup:  If you wish to put a turbine in the Viper, the turbine conversion kit will need to be purchased at the same time as the jet.  They will be shipped together from the JTM factory.  A link to the turbine conversion page is listed below.

The  JTM Viper Jet is a full composite model with a high degree of prefabrication and painting. The two-part wing is attached to the left and right of the fuselage with an aluminum tube, and the attachment of the removable rudder and elevator. This results in faster assembly and disassembly as well as space-saving transport (best suited for smaller cars). The RC system, the ECU, and the kerosene tank can be comfortably accommodated under the removable canopy, and the batteries can be mounted right at the front of the fuselage. The turbines or EDF are installed from the top of the fuselage through a spacious, separate maintenance cover with integrated “spring locks”. The electric retractable landing gear is made of high-quality aluminum and is braked; the struts dampen rough landings very well. Ideal turbines for the JTM Viper Jet are turbines between 6 – 10kg thrust or EDF with a 90mm diameter.

The flight behavior is very good-natured, and short take-off distances on asphalt and on the grass runway are outstanding features. The extremely low landing speed due to the low flight weight and the associated low wing loading, as well as the well-acting landing flaps, are further plus points that are also advantageous for “turbine beginners”. The scope of delivery includes many small parts, as well as the linkage for the rudder.

• Nose Wheel: JP Hobby 50mm, 4mm axle wheel
• Main Wheels: JP Hobby 65mm, 5mm axle wheel (either standard wheel or e-brakes)
• Radio: 6ch for regular operation: Ailerons, flaps, elevator, rudder, throttle, retracts (steering)
