RBC DH108 Swallow 90mm Kit

Three DH108 ‘Swallow’ research aircraft were constructed to Air Ministry Specification E1/45 and E11/45 to investigate the low and high-speed characteristics of tailess, swept wing aircraft. The first of these (TG283) made its first flight at Woodbridge on 15th May 1946. Designed by John Carver Meadows Frost (who went on to design the Avro-Canada CF-100), the layout of the 108 resembled the configuration of the Messerschmitt ME163 Komet, a rocket-powered interceptor designed during World War II. www.baesystems.com

This easy to build kit will create a great looking jet that is easy to repair.  The RBC kit features construction of balsa, plywood and abs plastic to make an easy to build/repair kit that has great flying characteristics. The kit contains all parts cnc cut including all wood to finish the Swallow.  A large clear cad drawing is also included and also the vacuum formed tail cone, canopy and nose cone. Features a large top hatch for easy access to the battery and receiver area.

• Ducted Fan: 90mm class fan unit- HET 9305, Wemotec Midifan, Schubeler DS-51 and others
• Brush less Motor: 90mm Class
• Electronic Speed Control: Brush less
• Radio: 6ch for regular operation: Tailerons, Throttle, Retracts (steering)
• Servos: 18g/ 64oz or higher with metal gears
• Li-Po Battery: 6-8s recommended 5000mAh, 40C
• Electric retracts: JP Hobby ER-120 retracts
• Struts: JP Hobby 90-120 Struts or ER-120 strtus
• 2x 24″ Servo Connector-Tailerons
• 1 ft Red and Black Silicone Wire
• Battery and Gilt Connectors
• Hinges, Push Rods, control horns needed
• CA and Epoxy glues
• Retracts for 90mm jet or wire landing gear.
